The Samskriti Club, Chanakya University, organized Bhandavya 2025 near the university flag post, a symbolic venue representing unity and shared identity. The celebration, rooted in the cultural tradition of Raksha Bandhan, emphasized strengthening bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood while highlighting the theme “Nation-building through the symbolic act of tying Raksha.”
The occasion was graced by Mr. Sushanth Joshi (Registrar), Mr. Sreenivas Balli (Director of Student Affairs), Dr. Chaitanya (Student Affairs), and Prof. Sandeep Nair (Dean, Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences), alongside faculty, staff, and students.
Prof. Sandeep Nair delivered an inspiring address on the importance of emotional unity in a diverse nation. He reminded participants that true nation-building extends beyond policies and infrastructure to trust, respect, and mutual responsibility. His words set a reflective and motivating tone for the event.
Following the address, Rakshe threads were distributed and tied among participants, symbolizing protection, goodwill, and mutual care. The highlight was the collective oath-taking, conducted in both Sanskrit and English. The verses affirmed unity, harmony, and commitment to the welfare of the nation and the world, merging tradition with inclusivity.
The event concluded with warm interactions, photographs, and a renewed spirit of togetherness. Bhandavya 2025 was not merely a cultural program but a powerful expression of how traditions can inspire modern values of compassion, cooperation, and nation-building, leaving participants with both cherished memories and a shared sense of purpose.
