Research Quest
My research interests spread across various domains, including public finance, corporate finance, accounting, sustainability, and the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). I hold an academic background in finance and accounting. I also have a strong foundation in Samkritam and Kannada languages and literatures. My research quest lies in investigating the potential impact of traditional Indian philosophies and frameworks on contemporary economic and corporate practices and policies. A unique aspect of my research focus is the synthesis of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with modern financial and economic theories. I have a sound knowledge in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. In addition, I am able to use multiple tools of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve the efficiency of research. My long-term aspiration is to create research works that is not only academically sound but also holds social significance. Ultimately, I aim to contribute meaningfully to the development of financial and economic systems characterized by efficiency, effectiveness, and a foundation in ethical and cultural values.
Academic Bio
Chetan S has worked as an assistant professor at MLA Academy of Higher Learning (AHL) from 2020 to 2022 in the department of commerce and management. He has the experience of teaching various courses like accountancy, statistics, business mathematics, banking, culture & diversity, etc., He also has an experience of heading commerce and management club and entrepreneurship cell.
Further he also has an experience of working in Karnataka Bank Ltd., at the Regional Office, Chennai in 2023 where his job was to manage reports at the backend, KYC protocols, preparation of monthly newsletters, etc.,
Chetan S is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at Chanakya University on the topic of government expenditure towards ESG. In addition to his research, he also teaches various courses such as statistics, data analytics, sustainability, banking, operations research, etc.,
He is also a poet by passion in Kannada and Samskritam. He has participated as a Pṛcchaka (questioner) in some Aṣṭāvadhānams. Currently he has authored a book titled “Pratimālā Rāmāyaṇam” in Kannada, renders the story of Rāmāyaṇam in Antākṣarī manner. (The book is completed. Expected publication by the end of 2025)
