DAAD Information Session on Study and Research Opportunities in Germany

Chanakya University hosted an informative session by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) for students and faculty members, focusing on higher education, scholarships, and research opportunities in Germany. DAAD, a joint organisation of German institutions of higher education, is one of the largest funding organisations globally, providing scholarships and grants for students and academicians at all levels. 

Smt. Suganya Tamalapadi, Regional Officer, DAAD Information Centre, Bangalore visited Chanakya University and organized a session on 25 September 2025, covering wide range of topics and answering studets queries on Scholarships and funding opportunities for students and academicians. She talked about the German higher education system, scholarship opportunities for Masters and PhD programs, eligibility criteria, application timelines, and travel fellowships. She also discussed about Short academic visits and faculty-led student group programs 

The session provided valuable guidance for students and faculty interested in pursuing international academic and research engagements, helping them understand the pathways, support mechanisms, and practical aspects of studying in Germany. 

Academic Talk by Prof. Regina Hoffmann, TU Delft 

Date : August 30th, 2025

Chanakya University will host an academic talk by Prof. Regina Hoffmann from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Netherlands, as part of its ongoing global engagement initiatives. The session will bring together students and faculty members for an interactive discussion on contemporary academic and policy perspectives, drawing from TU Delft’s strengths in interdisciplinary teaching and research.  

Prof. Hoffmann explained academic research writing and communication skills for academic purpose and how it is important to keep improving for a successful academic career. The talk is expected to encourage dialogue on international best practices and open avenues for future academic collaboration. 

Visit by the Consulate General of the Netherland and Meetings with Senior Leadership

Date : August 30th, 2025

Chanakya University welcomed Mr. Ewout de Wit, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, accompanied by Dr. Nutan, Senior Policy Advisor, for a courtesy visit and meeting with the Vice Chancellor. The interaction also included select faculty members and senior representatives of the University, providing an opportunity for focused institutional dialogue. 

The discussions cantered on strengthening institutional ties between Chanakya University and Dutch academic and diplomatic stakeholders, with particular emphasis on academic cooperation, student and faculty engagement, and broader avenues for international collaboration. The meeting underscored shared interests in promoting academic exchange, cross-cultural understanding, and sustained engagement between higher education institutions in India and the Netherlands. 

The visit reaffirmed Chanakya University’s commitment to deepening its global partnerships and engaging constructively with international diplomatic missions to advance its internationalization agenda and academic outreach. 

Engagement with Swissnex: Discussing Collaboration and Partnership Opportunities (ONLINE) 

Date : August 12th, 2025

Chanakya University participated in an online meeting with Swissnex, the global network connecting Switzerland with the world in education, research, and innovation. Swissnex supports Swiss universities, startups, artists, and innovators in expanding their reach and fostering international knowledge exchange. 

During the session, Chanakya University presented its academic programs, courses, and institutional initiatives, highlighting areas for potential collaboration. Discussions focused on hosting visiting faculty members, exploring COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) opportunities, and Swiss university outreach programs. The meeting provided a platform to strengthen global academic networks and explore new avenues for international engagement and exchange. 

Engagement with Bryant University, USA

Date : August 11th, 2025

Mr. John F. Eriksen, Senior Director of International Graduate Outreach and Admission at Bryant University, Rhode Island, engaged with Chanakya University to explore opportunities for academic collaboration. Discussions focused on faculty exchange, student exchange, and school-specific partnerships, reflecting Bryant University’s interest in strengthening its engagement with Indian institutions and students. The interaction has led to ongoing communication aimed at developing structured collaborative initiatives. Chanakya University also extended an invitation letter at short notice, underscoring mutual readiness to move forward and build a meaningful institutional partnership. 

Visiting Professorship from Southern New Hampshire University (USA) 

Date : August 9th, 2025

Prof. Paul Barresi from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), USA, is visiting Chanakya University for a month-long academic engagement, during which he will be teaching courses and interacting closely with students and faculty members. SNHU’s strong expertise in online and blended learning forms a key focus of the discussions, with proposals to explore joint courses and collaborative teaching models. The visit also includes ongoing deliberations on a Memorandum of Understanding and broader academic agreements. In addition, a short visit by the Dean from SNHU is planned to further strengthen institutional collaboration and finalize future initiatives.
