Faculty Development Lecture by Emeritus Professor, Australia National University

Chanakya University hosted an enriching faculty-focused lecture titled “Professional Development Strategies for Social Science Faculty: Policy Consulting, Research & Publications.” 
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Kaliappa Kalirajan, Emeritus Professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University (ANU), and former Dr. V.K.R.V. Rao Chair Professor at ISEC, Bengaluru. Drawing from his global academic experience across institutions such as ANU, NUS, GRIPS Tokyo, and Madurai Kamaraj University, Prof. Kalirajan shared practical insights on research publishing, policy consulting, and international academic engagement. Faculty members benefited from his guidance on publishing strategies and opportunities for participation in international symposia. 

Campus France Session on Study Opportunities in France

Ms. Kanika Kataria, Manager (Bangalore), Campus France, visited Chanakya University to interact with students interested in pursuing higher education in France. The session provided a clear and practical overview of scholarship opportunities, academic pathways after graduation, study options in French universities, post-study career prospects, and the visa application process.  

Ms. Kataria addressed various questions from students related to scholarship opportunities, academic pathways, and application processes, while also highlighting the role of Campus France in supporting international mobility and student engagement. 

Chanakya students benefited from first-hand guidance on planning their international education journey and clarifying common concerns related to applications and mobility. 

Campus France and French Consulate Interaction at Chanakya University 

Date : May 22nd, 2025

Chanakya University hosted representatives from the French academic and diplomatic community for an interactive engagement with senior faculty members and administrators. The discussion featured Ms. Gabrielle Chotin, Attaché for Academic and Scientific Cooperation at the French Consulate, along with Ms. Kanika Kataria, Manager – Campus France (Karnataka Region).

The visit aimed to strengthen academic ties between India and France and to provide firsthand information on higher education opportunities in France and initiatives taken by Campus France for Indian Universities.

Discussions with Chanakya University’s academic and administrative teams focused on exchange programs, collaborative initiatives, and future avenues for institutional cooperation with French universities and research institutions. The interaction underscored the shared commitment to promoting international academic exchange and enhancing global exposure for students and faculty.

Chanakya University Explores Academic Collaboration with Arizona State University 

Date : May 7th, 2025

Chanakya University held a meeting with representatives from Arizona State University (ASU), represented by Cintana Education Network to explore potential avenues for academic and research collaboration. The meeting was attended by Prof. Subramanya, Prof Vineeth Paleri, Prof. Chetan Singai and Dr. Ravikant Ranjan.

The discussions focused on strengthening student engagement, faculty collaboration, and joint academic initiatives, including opportunities for mobility, research partnerships, and program development. The interaction marked an important step toward building a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership between Chanakya University, ASU.

University of Hamburg Formalizes Partnership with Student Exchange Agreement and MoU 

Date : April 15th, 2025

Chanakya University was pleased to host Prof. Cord Jakobeit for a thought-provoking panel discussion on “The World Order in Flux,” which explored the Indian perspective alongside emerging global and geopolitical developments. Representing the University of Hamburg, Prof. Jakobeit also participated in the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Student Exchange Agreement between the two institutions. 

The signing ceremony, held at the Board Room, marked a significant milestone in strengthening academic cooperation and international engagement between Chanakya University and the University of Hamburg. The visit further included focused discussions on student mobility, academic exchange, and future collaborative initiatives, reinforcing Chanakya University’s expanding partnerships with leading European universities. 

Visit by Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI) 

Date : April 12th, 2025

Mr. Sabu Alexander from the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI) visited the Chanakya University campus for an interaction focused on Indo-Canadian academic collaboration.  

SICI is a bi-national academic organisation jointly mandated by the Governments of India and Canada to foster educational and research linkages between the two countries. It supports collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, fellowships, internships, seminars, and academic networking across diverse disciplines, from the humanities and social sciences to science, technology, and public policy. It plays a key role in strengthening intellectual, cultural, and scholarly engagement between India and Canada 

During his visit, discussions were held with senior faculty members, including Prof. Subramanya (Pro Vice Chancellor), on potential areas of cooperation and academic exchange. The interaction helped strengthen institutional connections with Canadian academic networks.
