Strengthening Global Academic Partnerships: Chanakya University Hosts University of Florida and Kansas State University

Chanakya University recently hosted distinguished visitors from the University of Florida and Kansas State University to explore collaborative opportunities in agriculture, sustainability, and crop ecophysiology. Prof. Gopal Kakani from the University of Florida, hosted by Prof. Chetan and Prof. Diwakar, engaged in discussions on sustainability and university-wide collaborations, including faculty mentorship, student training, and Capstone projects, with an exchange program under consideration. 

 Prof. Vara Prasad from Kansas State University, hosted by Prof. Diwakar and Prof. Chetan, focused on area-specific faculty mentoring and student mentorship, including training visits for over 1,600 students, and explored a proposal for a formal agreement. These engagements underscore Chanakya University’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships, providing global exposure for students and faculty, and advancing research and knowledge exchange in sustainability and agriculture. 

KAS All-Women Youth Delegation Explores Comparative Conservatism

An all-women youth delegation from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) visited Chanakya University for a seminar on “Comparative Conservatism across the EU and India.” Students and faculty engaged in discussions on political ideologies, governance models, and cultural contexts. The visit highlighted youth engagement, democratic values, and the potential for collaborative research between Indian and European students. KAS is a German political foundation that promotes civic education, democratic governance, and international cooperation through programs and exchanges with universities and youth organizations.

Roadmap Defined for the Proposed European Centre at Chanakya University 

Date : November 21st, 2025

A consultative meeting was held at Chanakya University to define the vision and roadmap for a proposed European Centre, aimed at strengthening India-Europe academic research and strategic engagement. Participants included Dr. Adrian Haack, India Director of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), Ms. Judith W.S. from Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS), and distinguished academics and policymakers. KAS and HSS are German foundations focused on promoting democracy, political education, and international collaboration, working globally to facilitate dialogue, research, and knowledge exchange. 

Bavarian State Parliament Delegation Engages with Chanakya University 

Date : November 20th, 2025

Chanakya University hosted a high-level delegation from the Presidium of the Bavarian State Parliament for an engaging session on “Comparative Perspectives on Democracies in Europe and India.” Master’s and doctoral students, along with faculty members, participated in discussions on democratic governance, shared institutional challenges, and participatory democracy. The event provided a unique opportunity for students to interact directly with European legislators, fostering global perspectives and academic diplomacy. The Bavarian State Parliament, as the legislative authority of the German state of Bavaria, actively promotes dialogue and international cooperation to strengthen democratic values and governance knowledge. 

Academic Interaction with the Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Chanakya University hosted Mr. Ewout de Wit, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, for an academic interaction with students, research scholars, and Chanakya Fellows as part of its ongoing global engagement initiatives. The visit followed Mr. de Wit’s earlier engagement with the University in August 2025 and reflected a sustained commitment to fostering international academic dialogue. 

The session was jointly coordinated by the Global Engagement Office and the Chanakya Fellowship in Social Sciences, and was designed as an interactive academic dialogue. Mr. de Wit provided an overview of the institutional role of the Consulate General, followed by a discussion shaped by student and faculty inquiries. 

Students and scholars engaged critically with the themes, contributing informed perspectives and questions that facilitated nuanced discussion on global governance, security, and international cooperation. Drawing on his extensive diplomatic experience, Mr. de Wit offered analytical insights into international policy processes and diplomatic practice. 

The interaction further strengthened academic and institutional ties between Chanakya University and the Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, underscoring shared interests in academic exchange, cross-cultural understanding, and global citizenship education. The event reaffirmed Chanakya University’s role as a platform for informed engagement on global affairs. 

IESA Fellows Present Findings at Youth Energy Conclave (YEC) 2025 

Date : November 12th, 2025

At the Youth Energy Conclave (YEC) 2025, held at The Lalit, New Delhi, Chanakya University, in collaboration with the Centre for Educational and Social Studies (CESS) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS), showcased research by IESA fellows.  

The conclave, a premier forum for sustainable energy dialogue, convened emerging energy leaders, policymakers, and researchers to discuss energy transitions and climate resilience. Fellows presented key findings from their working papers, which will be jointly published by Chanakya University and CESS. The Hanns Seidel Foundation is a German political foundation dedicated to promoting democracy, sustainable development, and capacity building through international partnerships and education programs.
