To pursue these opportunities, details have been provided below with few funding options and agencies which can support mobility journey. There are many more such opportunities and students should explore the options, as new programs are introduced by many universities every year.

A. University International Offices: Visit International university’s Official website (International Relations/ Global Engagement/ International Affairs/Exchange Programs or its website to find exchange or mobility programs, application process etc.

B. Online Platforms: Use platforms like Euraxess, DAAD, GoAbroad.com, or Campus France to find global internships, exchanges, and scholarship programs.

C. Faculty Mentorship: Reach out to faculty members for guidance on research or academic opportunities abroad, as they may have connections with international counterparts.

Steps to Apply for Short-Term Mobility Programs

A. Research Available Programs:

  • Visit University Websites: Start by researching universities that offer mobility programs or are in partnership with your institution.
  • Explore Government Programs: Look for government-funded exchange programs or scholarships that fit your field of study.
  • Course Selection: Student should seek approval from their relevant school/faculty members about course module to be taken at the partner university during the exchange program. (course approval form are available with academic affairs office)

B. Prepare Your Documents

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP): Write a compelling SOP explaining why you want to participate in the mobility program and how it aligns with your academic goals.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Obtain letters from your professors or mentors to support your application.
  • Resume/CV: Update your resume to highlight relevant academic and extracurricular achievements.
  • Transcripts: Have your academic transcripts ready to submit with your application.

C. Apply for Funding

  • Check Scholarship Deadlines: Many scholarships have specific deadlines, so ensure you apply well in advance or ready to apply when call is announced.
  • University-Specific Grants: Explore funding options provided by host university or host country/ government agencies.

D. Visa and Travel Arrangements

  • Once accepted, apply for the necessary visa and make travel arrangements. Your university’s International Office may assist with the visa process.
  • Obtain approval and permission from your school/ Dean.

  • Start Early: Applying for mobility programs and scholarships requires time, so plan at least 6-12 months ahead.
