Visit by Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI)

Mr. Sabu Alexander from the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI) visited the Chanakya University campus for an interaction focused on Indo-Canadian academic collaboration.  

SICI is a bi-national academic organisation jointly mandated by the Governments of India and Canada to foster educational and research linkages between the two countries. It supports collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, fellowships, internships, seminars, and academic networking across diverse disciplines, from the humanities and social sciences to science, technology, and public policy. It plays a key role in strengthening intellectual, cultural, and scholarly engagement between India and Canada 

During his visit, discussions were held with senior faculty members, including Prof. Subramanya (Pro Vice Chancellor), on potential areas of cooperation and academic exchange. The interaction helped strengthen institutional connections with Canadian academic networks. 

Visit of Hof University of Applied Sciences (Germany) to Chanakya University 

Date : December 10th, 2024

Chanakya University hosted a delegation from Hof University of Applied Sciences (Hof UAS), Germany, during 10 December 2024, as part of its ongoing global engagement and international collaboration initiatives. The visit was scheduled during the morning hours and aimed at exploring avenues for academic and research cooperation between the two institutions. 

The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Lehmann, President of Hof University of Applied Sciences, and included Ms. Ute Coenen, Head of University Administration, and Ms. Susanne Krause, Head of the International Office. Discussions during the visit focused on strengthening institutional linkages and identifying mutually beneficial areas of collaboration. 

Hof University of Applied Sciences is a public university in Germany, widely recognized for its interdisciplinary and application-oriented programs, particularly in engineering, management, and computer science, and enjoys strong student satisfaction as reflected in national surveys. 

During the visit, the delegation shared a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) proposing collaboration in research and academic activities, with potential focus areas including management, engineering, social sciences, and psychology. 

The visit provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on future academic and research cooperation.
