Career Opportunities at SBS: Teaching Assistants (Number of Positions: 02)

The School of Biosciences at Chanakya University invites applications from enthusiastic and motivated candidates for the position of Teaching Assistants.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist faculty in the preparation and organization of lectures, presentations, instructional materials, and laboratory manuals.
• Support the conduct of lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions under faculty supervision.
• Facilitate student engagement through discussions, group activities, and academic interactions.
• Provide academic support to students, including mentoring, addressing queries, and guiding project work.
• Assist in evaluation processes including grading assignments, reports, and examinations as per university norms.
• Support academic administration including attendance management, course documentation, and event coordination.
• Assist in the use of digital platforms, e-learning tools, and multimedia resources for effective teaching.
• Support examination processes including invigilation, preparation of materials, and maintaining academic integrity.
• Ensure compliance with UGC guidelines and institutional academic policies.

Qualifications required:

• Essential: PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology / M.Tech in Biotechnology.

Desirable:

• The candidate should have at least 2 years’ experience in in laboratory techniques relevant to UG and PG biosciences curriculum (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry).
• Experience in handling and supervising student practical sessions.
• Strong academic background with consistent performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and helping students in their academic pursuits.
