SBS Students Showcase Research at IIT Bombay Conference
Date:11-10-2025Research fellows from Dr Shilpee Jain’s group at SBS successfully presented their research at the Global Scientific Conference, held at IIT Bombay from October 8–11, 2025, which witnessed participation from researchers representing over 25 countries worldwide.
Ms Anjali Pandey, presented a poster titled “Decoding the role of PCBP1 gene in intracellular processing pathways of iron oxide nanoparticles via CRISPR-dCas9 gene editing and functional analysis.” She was awarded a 40% registration fee waiver under an initiative aimed at encouraging women students in science and research.
Ms. Aganiya Gopalakrishnan, presented her research titled “Preclinical validation of magnetic hyperthermia therapy for locally advanced oral cancer treatment.” In recognition of academic merit and as part of a special initiative to promote women researchers, she received a 100% conference fee waiver, awarded to only 30 women participants.
The School of Biosciences congratulates the students on their accomplishments, which highlight the institution’s commitment to research excellence and the promotion of women in STEM.
