Dr Santosh Kumar of CCMB delivered a talk on the principles of inhibitory signaling in NK cells

Dr. Santosh Kumar, Senior Scientist at Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, visited the School of Biosciences, Chanakya University, and delivered an engaging lecture on Natural Killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity and its regulation by inhibitory receptors. He also explained how his lab investigates the mechanisms through which components of inhibitory signaling pathways function and coordinate at the level of NK cells. Leveraging synthetic biology approaches, his research sheds light on the translational potential of these mechanisms for developing novel immunotherapeutic targets for cancer.

Dr. Santosh also had interactive discussions with faculty and students, addressing their questions and sharing perspectives on current advances in immunology.
