Applications are invited for the position of two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) supported by School of Biosciences at Chanakya University, Devanahalli, Bangalore. The selected candidates will work with Dr. Anusree Mahanta, Assistant Professor, School of Biosciences on ongoing research projects in the laboratory.

These positions will be available initially for one year and can be extended based on the performance. The positions offer a unique opportunity to be part of the early stages of a research laboratory, contributing to both laboratory development and scientific discovery.

Essential Qualifications

1. Master’s degree (M.Sc. OR equivalent) in Biotechnology/Life Sciences or a related discipline.
2. Candidates qualified through a national-level examination (CSIR-NET, UGC-NET, DST-INSPIRE, DBT, ICMR, or equivalent fellowship) are preferred. However, a very limited number of fellowships will be provided by Chanakya University to outstanding candidates.

Desirable qualifications:

1. 1-2 years of research experience in an academic laboratory.
2. Willingness to actively participate in laboratory setup, organization and experimental work.
3. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
4. Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining accurate research records.

5. Motivation to pursue research on a long-term basis. Suitable candidates may be considered for enrolment in the PhD program at Chanakya University, subject to university regulations.
