An author of five best-selling novels, based on ancient Indian woman protagonists, Smt. Sai Swaroopa is also a recipient of the Stree Shakti Award for her contribution to Indian Literature.

She mentors upcoming writers and conducts workshops and other training programs for aspiring novelists. She is a curator with Indica Books.

With Mahabharata, Indic History and Philosophy being her focus areas, she also seeks to see more of those themes making a presence in popular creative forms that celebrate Indian civilization. 

An M.B.A. from the IIT Kharagpur, she has also trained in Carnatic Classical music and has won a gold medal from TTD for her rendition of Annamacharya Kritis
