SBS faculty secures ICMR SMALL Extramural Grant
Date:06-10-2026SBS continues to strengthen its research excellence with the successful award of a prestigious grant under the ICMR SMALL Extramural Grants (ICMR ANVESHAN Extramural Grants – 2026). Dr. Krishna Kurthkodi, Associate Professor, SBS, has been awarded a ₹1.2 crore grant in Life Sciences for his cutting-edge research project titled: “Deciphering the Role of Proteasome-Mediated Protein Turnover During Iron-Starvation-Mediated Non-Replicative Persistence and Reactivation.”
The project seeks to advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying bacterial persistence and reactivation under iron-starvation conditions, with implications for infectious disease research.
