Dr. Sangeetha Nath, Associate Professor at Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine (MIRM), MAHE, visited the School of Biosciences and delivered an insightful research talk titled “Nanotubular networks: A cellular lifeline for glial survival under neurodegenerative stress.”

The talk explored how cells communicate and exchange cellular organelles, particularly mitochondria and lysosomes, through nanotubular networks, and highlighted their potential significance in neuronal survival, neurological disorders, and neurodegenerative stress.

The session was highly engaging, with students actively participating in the discussion and raising several questions. Dr. Nath addressed their queries and encouraged an interactive exchange of ideas, making the session an informative and enriching experience for the students and faculty.
