The Institutional Human Ethics Committee (IHEC) of Chanakya University has been constituted to ensure that research involving human participants, human biological samples, and human-derived data is conducted in accordance with established ethical principles and applicable national guidelines.
The IHEC provides independent and multidisciplinary ethical review of research proposals undertaken by faculty members, research scholars, students, and other investigators affiliated with Chanakya University. The Committee aims to safeguard the dignity, rights, safety, well-being, privacy, and confidentiality of research participants while promoting responsible and ethical research practices.
The Institutional Human Ethics Committee (IHEC), Chanakya University, has obtained provisional registration through NAITIK – the National Ethics Committee Registry for Biomedical and Health Research.

Ethics Review
Research involving human participants, human biological samples, or identifiable human data that requires ethical review shall obtain approval from the IHEC before commencement of the relevant research activities.
Researchers are required to submit the research protocol and applicable supporting documents to the IHEC in accordance with the Committee’s approved procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The IHEC reviews research proposals based on the nature, methodology, and potential risks associated with the proposed research and provides an appropriate ethical decision.
