Dr Santosh Kisan Pagire Wins a Research Fellowship from Australia through ARC, Elevates Chanakya University's Global Research Presence

In a proud achievement for Indian science and Chanakya University, Bengaluru, Dr. Santosh Kisan Pagire, an accomplished chemist with a distinguished global research profile, has been awarded a prestigious research fellowship through the Australian Research Council (ARC). He will contribute to major AUD 2.5 million (approx. INR 14 crore) research initiative at the University of Tasmania, Australia. Prof. Alex C. Bissember will be hosting his research stay while strengthening Indo-Australian scientific collaboration.

Dr. Pagire’s career is marked by earlier prestigious fellowships, including the Marie Skłodowska-Curie (UK), DAAD (Germany), Walter Benjamin from DFG (Japan), and CSIR (India). With over 3,000 citations and expertise in Visible light photocatalysis, asymmetric catalysis, and total synthesis, he will drive three cutting-edge projects in photochemistry, electrochemical synthesis, and water monitoring.
His success highlights the rising global influence of Indian academics and showcases Chanakya University’s commitment to fostering world-class research, innovation, and impactful international collaborations.
