Transdisciplinarity in Research Ecosystems

The School of Management Sciences hosted a Shodh Samvad lecture on Management Research in Healthcare on February 26, 2026, at Room 231, Chanakya University. Dr. Shubha Krishnamurthy, Assistant Professor at IIIT Bangalore, guided students through the intersection of management principles and healthcare systems. The session explored how research methodologies drawn from management sciences, including operations research, health economics, and organisational behaviour, can address systemic inefficiencies in healthcare delivery. With India’s healthcare expenditure standing at approximately 3.3% of GDP and hospital operational costs rising sharply post-pandemic, the lecture underscored the growing relevance of data-driven management frameworks in optimising patient outcomes, resource allocation, and institutional performance.
