About the Presenter: Prof. M. Ram Murty is a globally renowned mathematician specializing in algebra and number theory. He currently serves as the A.V. Douglas Distinguished University Professor and Queen’s Research Chair in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Queen’s University, with a cross-appointment to the Department of Philosophy. A prolific scholar, Dr. Murty holds a Ph.D. from MIT and has received numerous accolades, including the Jeffery-Williams Prize, the CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize, and fellowships from the Royal Society of Canada, the Indian National Science Academy, and the American Mathematical Society.
