Vision

The Centre for Integrated Public Health at Chanakya University works to bridge traditional knowledge, passed down through generations, with the evidence and methods of modern medicine — building a public health model that is both rooted in community wisdom and grounded in scientific rigor.

We pursue this through integrative research, sustained community outreach, public awareness campaigns, rapid mass-response capacity, and survey-based policy development. These tools serve a dual purpose: understanding how communities already engage with traditional remedies and existing national health policies, and using that understanding to strengthen and extend both — for greater reach, relevance, and impact.

Our work spans the full breadth of public health — nutrition, mental health, and beyond — recognizing that no single domain can be understood in isolation from the social, economic, and cultural fabric it sits within. This comprehensive lens lets us see not just symptoms, but the systems that produce them.

Ultimately, we aim to deepen society’s understanding of its own health and its ailments, and to turn that understanding into action: customised policies, targeted empowerment, and sustainable, culturally-attuned health practices co-created with the communities they serve. The result we work toward is a healthier, more resilient, and largely self-sufficient society — one equipped to care for itself across generations.
