SUMMARY:A Lecture-Demonstration on Avadhānam
DESCRIPTION:December 8\, 2023 (Offline)\n\nThe Avadhānam event held on
 December 8\, 2023\, at Chanakya University\, Bengaluru\, organized by the
 Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems\, was a resounding success. The session
 began with an introductory lecture by Shatavadhani R Ganesh. He discussed
 the historicity and evolution of the tradition of Avadhānam over the
 years. He introduced its format and role of the participants\, including
 the audience. His simplified\, yet detailed explanation helped the audience
 receive the event better. Dr. Ramakrishna Pejathaya\, Associate Professor
 and the Avadhani for the event\, showcased extraordinary prowess in a
 mesmerizing three-hour session. The event featured a panel of distinguished
 Prcchakas (Questioners)\, including Sri. K.B.S. Ramachandra
 (Niṣedhākṣari)\, Smt Kanchana Karki (Samasyāpūraṇa)\, Sri. MS
 Chaitra (Dattapadi)\, Shri Shashi Kiran (Antyākṣari)\, Satavadhani Dr.
 R. Ganesh (Aprastutaprasanga)\, Shri Someshekhara Sharma (Āśukāvya)\,
 Kum Chinmayee CP (Kāvyavācana)\, and Sri. Chetan S (Sankhyābandha). The
 Avadhānam session delved into diverse topics ranging from composition of
 poems to mathematics\, providing a comprehensive intellectual experience
 for the audience. Dr. Pejathaya's ability to address questions\, compose
 spontaneously\, and solve puzzles showcased the pinnacle of cognitive and
 artistic skills. The Prcchakas\, each an expert in their respective
 domains\, contributed to a rich and engaging dialogue. The event was not
 only intellectually stimulating but also featured light-hearted
 interventions\, adding a touch of humor to the profound insights shared.
 The Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems at Chanakya University aims to
 celebrate the ancient tradition and continue organizing such
 thought-provoking and culturally enriching events in the coming future as
 well.\n\n&nbsp\;
